It was revealed in a graphic tweeted on Monday by the official Twitter account for Netflix's Hollywood live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece manga that the programme will premiere in 2023.The live-action series will only be available to stream on Netflix. There will be ten episodes in the first season. Executive producer will be Oda.

The live-action series is being made by Tomorrow Studios, a collaboration between ITV Studios and producer Marty Adelstein (Prison Break, Teen Wolf). The show's writer is Matt Owens (Luke Cage, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). Executive producers include Becky Clements and Steven Maeda.

The live-action Hollywood television series adaptation of the manga, according to Adelstein's video message played at Jump Festa in 2017, will begin with the East Blue arc and "broaden from there." After speaking with Oda directly about the project, Adelstein added that the show promised to produce "a authentic One Piece."
